Tom Cruise boobs are fat

tom cruise

One time sex symbol Tom Cruise is continuing his descent into fat man land.

The extra large star has been spotted with man boobs, and a few chins just weeks after his huge wedding.

Now reports out of the UK suggests Cruise’s massive weight gain could be the result of gorging.

Tom Cruise couldn’t wait to start eating at his wedding to Katie Holmes, it has been claimed.
The ‘Top Gun’ actor - who reportedly wore a corset to hide the weight he has gained when the couple tied the knot in Italy last month - began gobbling pizzas as soon as they were cooked after the ceremony.

‘Grave consequences’ if Hussein’s hanged

The Baath Party, the political movement that ruled Iraq during the Saddam Hussein era, is warning there will be “grave consequences” if former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein is executed.

Saying it would hold the United States responsible, a message appeared on albasrah.net Tuesday that read: “The Baath and the resistance are determined to retaliate in all ways and all places that hurt America and its interests if it commits this crime.”

If the execution is carried out, the largely Sunni-Arab Baathists said they also will retaliate against members of the Iraqi High Tribunal. (Watch Hussein’s letter assail “merciless tyrants” Video)

And they vowed a complete shut-down of peace negotiations between the Baathists and coalition forces.

The Baathists have been operating as part of the insurgency against the U.S. and its allies since Hussein’s regime fell in 2003.

Hussein was convicted November 5 in an Iraqi court of crimes against humanity.

He was sentenced to death by hanging for ordering the killings of 148 people in the predominantly Shiite Muslim city of Dujail in 1982.

The former dictator’s execution, upheld by an appellate chamber of the Iraqi High Tribunal, could be carried out any time over the next few weeks. (Watch what could happen after Saddam’s execution Video)

The Baathist message went on to call Hussein’s execution a “most dangerous red line” that the Bush administration shouldn’t cross.

“The entire world knows that the final decision is in the hands of the American administration and not the agent government in Baghdad,” the message said.

The execution “will make later negotiations between the resistance and the Baathists” and the U.S. “impossible.” It would further embolden and strengthen the resistance, the message warned.

The Baathists also issued a warning to Iran, which is regarded as a key supporter of Iraq’s Shiite-led government.

The Baathists believe that the government and Iran are behind sectarian killings of Sunni Arabs.

The Baathists are asking Iran’s “real leader” — a reference to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei — “to be rational and study this matter and not to spill more Iraqi blood, because our retaliation will be in the heart of Iran and impact its leadership.”

The Baathists also warned that there will be “no safe place” for Iraqi High Tribunal jurists and those who protect them, calling them “traitors” and “tools for the occupation.”

The Past Life of Killer Saddam Hussein

Iraqi state television said former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein was executed at 0300 GMT Saturday in an unspecified location. Saddam was sentenced to death by an Iraqi court on November 5, 2006, after a year-long trial over the killings of 148 Shias from the village of Dujail in the 1980s. The former Iraqi leader was captured by US armed forces on the December 13, 2005, from a cellar in a farmhouse, close to his hometown of Tikrit, following a tip-off. The deposed leader had his final appeal turned down on Tuesday. Earlier, on Friday, Saddam’s lawyers said they were informed that the former leader had been transferred to Iraqi custody, a statement which was later denied by the Iraqi Justice Ministry. The US defense department also stated that troops in Iraq were prepared for the backlash expected to follow the execution.

The execution was carried out hours before the start of the Islamic holiday of Eid, which is scheduled to commence at 0900 GMT, Saturday. Government and religious officials, a doctor and a lawyer were present at the execution, which was also filmed to provide proof of death. Though the former leader was also on trial in connection with a military campaign against Kurdish communities in the 1980s, the Iraqi law required he be executed within 30 days regardless of the outcome of the second trial.

Also sentenced to death were Saddam’s half brother, Barzan Ibrahim al-Tikriti, and former Chief Judge of Revolutionary Court, Awad Hamed al-Bandar. Former Iraqi vice president, Taha Yasin Ramadan, was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison while, senior Baath officials, Abdullah Kadhem Ruaid, Abdullah Rawed Mizher, and Ali Daeem Ali, were sentenced to a comparatively lenient sentence of 15 years in prison.

In a letter written from his cell during his last few days, Saddam Hussein accused the US and Iran of instigating the violence and the blood shed tearing the country apart. He called for unity among Iraqis, to save the country from “falling into servitude”. Saddam proclaimed his death a sacrifice and said his death would make him a “true martyr”.

Earlier, the Baath party issued warnings, threatening retaliation, if and when the execution was carried out. Issued in a website known to represent the party, the statement said “The Baath and the resistance are determined to retaliate, with all means and everywhere, to harm America and its interests if it commits this crime.” The website in question, was disbanded in 2003, after US troops overthrew Saddam, and is believed to be run from Yemen, where a number of exiled members of the party are based.

The former president who was the self proclaimed “builder of modern Iraq”, lead a reign of terror for over two decades. He led his people to into the disastrous 1980-88 war with Iraq, and also the invasion of Kuwait in 1990. Under Saddam, imprisonment or summary execution of political foes was common. Political parties, unions and civic groups not controlled by Baathists were banned. Traditional bonds were reshaped to support a one-party state. However, the decline of oil prices marked the beginning of the end for the head strong leader. With the economy stagnating, funds for development were slashed and desperately in need of cash, Saddam demanded that Kuwait and Saudi Arabia write-off debts incurred in the long war with Iran.

Killer File of Saddam Hussein 1947 - 2001

Full name Saddam Hussein al-Majid al Tikriti. AKA ‘Great Uncle’, AKA ‘Lion of Babylon’, AKA ‘Lion of Iraq’, AKA ‘Beast of Baghdad’. Saddam translates to ‘One Who Confronts’.

No conclusive figures for the number of Iraqis killed during the Gulf War, with estimates varying from as few as 1,500 to as many as 200,000. Over 100,000 Kurds killed or “disappeared”. No reliable figures for the number of Iraqi dissidents and Shia Muslims killed during Hussein’s reign, though estimates put the figure between 60,000 and 150,000. (Mass graves discovered following the US occupation of Iraq in 2003 suggest that the total combined figure for Kurds, Shias and dissidents killed could be as high as 300,000). Approximately 500,000 Iraqi children dead because of international trade sanctions introduced following the Gulf War.

Killer File of Saddam Hussein 2002 - 2006

Killer File of Saddam Hussein 1947 - 2001

2002 - Following the 11 September 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon in the United States and the subsequent retaliatory action against Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaeda terrorist network and the Taliban in Afghanistan, US President George W. Bush nominates Iraq as one of the members of an “axis of evil” that also includes Iran and North Korea.

The Bush administration is particularly concerned about Iraq’s alleged ongoing attempts to develop weapons of mass destruction, which it claims are a threat to the region and the world. President Bush also stresses the need for “regime change” in Iraq.

The US begins to agitate for a resumption of the armed conflict with Iraq to force it to disarm. President Bush advocates preemptive, unilateral action and receives backing from Britain and Australia, which indicate that they would be prepared to participate in any renewed conflict.

However the suggestion is rejected by most Western and Asian nations, including Russia, Germany, France, Canada and China, which insist that any action must be sanctioned by the United Nations (UN) Security Council and that Iraq should first be given the opportunity to allow the UN weapons inspectors to return to complete their work. The Arab states also rebuff the US plan.

On 12 September President Bush takes his case to the UN Security Council, calling for a tough new resolution demanding that Iraq disclose and remove all weapons of mass destruction, end support for terrorism, and cease the persecution of its population.

Almost all member nations of the UN, including most Arab states, subsequently urge Iraq to accept the return of the weapons inspectors.

On 16 September Iraq tells the UN that it will allow the unconditional return of the inspectors. However the offer is later muddied when Iraq announces that the inspectors will only be allowed back under the terms of existing UN resolutions and that unrestricted access will continue to be denied to 42 presidential “sites”.

The offer is dismissed by the US, which continues to press for a new Security Council resolution containing a clear statement of Iraq’s responsibilities, a short deadline and the prospect of military force if Hussein fails to comply.

Other permanent Security Council members, including France and Russia, favour two resolutions - one setting out the terms for the return of the inspectors and a second on the consequences if Iraq fails to comply. Intense and protracted negotiations between the US and the other permanent members of the council over the issue follow.

Hussein’s personal response to the crisis is read to the UN on 19 September. “I hereby declare before you that Iraq is clear of all nuclear, chemical and biological weapons,” Hussein says in the prepared text.

Britney Spears Website Could Be Saved

Arizona Reporter an online arts publication since Nov 11, 1998 has formally offered free hosting to Britney Spears via Michael Tedesco of Jive Records and site founder Ruben Garay for her fan website.

Britney Spears fan website will be shut down permanently on Jan. 31, according to a statement by Ruben Garay the frustrated webmaster of WorldofBritney.com; he has decided to shut down the site saying the pop star is “done.”

Britney Spears has been without a personal publicist for two months, after a parting of ways with Leslie Sloane Zelnick. Since Zelnicks departure, Sonia Muckle a publicist at Jive Records has been handling the so called ‘bad press’.

“This is a bold step for the Arizona Reporter to put its reputation on the line for the defense of an artist. Some think Britney is loosing friends quicker than a paparazzi flash. We say the photographer who took the indecent photos of Ms. Spears should be arrested for indecency and for taking such an opportunity to tarnish her career and her name with malice.”

“We all have done much worse things. And formally we would like to say that Britney Spears does not deserve to be treated in such a manner by the press.”

James Good and J. R. McGowan of the Arizona Reporter contributed to this release.

Miss USA Sex & Drug Scandal: Tara Conner Buzz a Gift for Pageant

The week before many Americans celebrate Christmas

fingers were typing and searching for anything to do with Miss USA Tara Conner. The blonde beauty came from a one stoplight town in small town Kentucky, won the national crown and then hit New York City with what sounds like a vengeance. Unfortunately for the Kentucky native, folks took notice.

Rumors and reports soon hit Gotham and of tales of sex and drug use and it appeared that pageant owner Donald Trump might just snatch her tiara from her golden locks.

***

But Trump allowed the pint-sized Miss USA to continue, if she would check into rehab. tears flowed at a press conference and it was a christmas miracle. Reports are that she is nestled in her rehab bed now, and then the scandal hit with even more fervor late last week.

Loud mouth talk show host Rosie O’Donnell decided to rip the beauty queen, and added in some few choice shots at Donald Trump and the battle of the blabbermouths hit cable and radio talk shows with Trump slapping back at Rosie with everything.

Donald Trump was everywhere, and with that, the Miss USA contest generated lots of publicity.

So - what does all of this equal? A holiday gift for the Miss USA pageant. It is now front and center in the world of beauty pageants as sex and scandal sells. Add to that some Miss USA Nevada candidate named Katie Rees was spotted in photos in some very compromising positions, and the buzz continued into the Holiday weekend.

***

She did get the boot but now wants help from Trump as well. This is all good for ratings and it will be interesting to see just how many viewers the contest picks up from the scandalous behavior of the contestants.

Why Miss Nevada USA Katie Rees Taking Nude Photos May Have Been a Great Career Move

The scandal didn’t seem to hurt Williams, who went on to have a successful music career, selling six million records and receiving 15 Grammy Award nominations, as well as a successful movie career. And while Katie Rees is currently begging for a second chance, even though more nude photos of her are starting to surface, why would she really want it? Chances are she’ll never be as famous as she is right now, which can lead to more opportunities than having her crown back ever could. Book deals? Pay-Per-View Specials, Playboy or Penthouse pictorials; they are all there for the taking. And who knows, maybe they will remake ‘Barnaby Jones’ one day and she could get an audition. Of course, it would probably be a porn remake entitled Barnaby Bones, but that’s another story.

Nicole Kidman Relief? Keith Urban Ex Niki Taylor Gets Married

Nicole Kidman has been hit with a wave of allegations from an underwear model that her hubby Keith Urban was involved with her right up until the wedding. Others have said the stress of Urban ex Niki Taylor and her engagement to race car driver Burney Lamar drove Keith into rehab. Niki and Keith dated for two years prior to Nicole.

Keith is now out (at least temporarily) and he and Nicole are together in Australia. And though it is impossible to tell if any of Keith’s troubles can be linked to his ex sweetie Niki one thing is certain, the supermodel is off the market.

Us Weekly is reporting that married at the Grande Colonial Hotel in La Jolla, California, on December 27. Taylor’s manager, Lou Taylor, tells the weekly entertainment magazine that Taylor’s 11-year-old twin sons from her previous marriage, Jake and Hunter Martinez, were in the bridal party, and Taylor’s elder sister, Joelle Bolline acted as matron of honor. Burney Lamar’s father Izzy Lamar served as best man.

The magazine reports exclusively on the website:

The bride walked down the aisle before 60 of the couple’s closest friends in a Vera Wang Couture gown.

The guests feasted on a five course luncheon of squash soup, pear and apple organic greens, potato Gnocchi with wild mushrooms and a main course of steak and lobster. Famed La Jolla baker Michelle Coulon crafted the four-layer chocolate mousse wedding cake.

The couple’s first dance as man and wife was to the Jack Johnson song “Better Together.”

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban reunited in Sydney

Celebrity couple Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are reunited in the Oscar-winning actress’s home town of Sydney after her singer husband completed treatment in the United States for alcohol abuse, media revealed Wednesday.

Media cameras caught the couple holding hands as they left the United International Pictures office in the inner city Wednesday.

They said nothing to the media as the pair walked to a car and were driven away, media reported.

New Zealand-born and Australian-raised Urban flew into Sydney Tuesday after two months treatment in a rehabilitation center to battle a drinking relapse, Australian Associated Press reported.

Kidman has been in Sydney since before Christmas and is making a movie in Australia, AAP and Nine Network television reported.

Urban, who last month won male vocalist of the year for the second consecutive year at the Country Music Association Awards in Nashville, has not visited Australia since he married Kidman in a lavish Sydney wedding in June.

Keith Urban joins Kidman in Oz

Keith Urban has taken a break from rehab to join his family in Sydney, Australia.

He is currently being treated for alcohol abuse at the Betty Ford Centre in Palm Springs California, after checking himself in voluntarily in October. He joined his wife Nicole Kidman earlier this week.

Media reports had initially speculated that the country music singer had finished his rehab, but his publicist confirmed that he is only on a break.

“Keith is on leave in Australia to be with his family during the holidays. This is a natural occurrence at this point in his treatment,” his publicist, Paul Freundlich told the Associated Press.

“He will continue with his rehab upon his return.”

This will be his first visit to Australia since his wedding in June. Wife Kidman has been in Sydney working on her latest film.

According to paparazzi reports, the couple were yesterday spotted holding hands as they were leaving the United International Pictures office.

Keith Urban back in the news

Keith Urban is apparently going to be testing that old saying that any publicity is good publicity. Since releasing his fourth album, “Love, Pain & the whole crazy thing,” Urban has continued to rehab in a drug and alcohol clinic reportedly in the Nashville area.

On Wednesday, Urban appeared with wife Nicole Kidman at a private movie screening in Sydney. The couple was seen holding hands. Keith’s publicist Paul Freundlich denied that the superstar had completed his rehab, only that he was in Australia for Christmas break.

Yesterday, Freundlich had a bigger controversy to deal with as a 23-year-old Nashville model alleged in a London newspaper that she had an affair with Urban until a month before his June wedding to Kidman.

Amanda Wyatt told London’s The Mail that she met Urban at a Nashville bar in 2004. She admits looking for a one-night stand but claims the affair continued for almost two years.

Wyatt was paid for her interview with the paper. Freundlich claims the report is complete fiction.

Country music fans will have the chance to get their fill of their favorite music on New Year’s Eve. “A Nashville New Year with Sean Hannity” will be airing at 10 p.m. on Fox News Channel Sunday night.

Performances, from the Nashville Palace, will include Crystal Gayle, John Conlee, Van Zant, Heartland, John Stone, Josh Gracin, Hank Williams Jr., JoDee Messina, Collin Raye, Sammy Kershaw, Aaron Tippin, and the Kentucky Headhunters.

Faith Hill has recorded a duet with Aretha Franklin. The duet will be included on Franklin’s upcoming album, “Aretha: A Woman Falling Out of Love,” which will be released early next year.

Hill “was fabulous, just fabulous. She’s a very nice lady,” Franklin told Billboard magazine.

One guy I’m really excited about is Jason Michael Carroll. Carroll penned the current hit “Alyssa Lies,” which is the heart-breaking story of an abused little girl. The single is skyrocketing toward the Top 10. Carroll performed the single at his debut at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday night. I love this guy’s voice, and I’m anxious to hear his album, “Waitin’ in the Country,” which should be in stores on Feb. 6.

Speaking of upcoming albums, there will be several new discs hitting stores soon. Ty Herndon returns with “Right About Now” on Jan. 9. Clint Black will be releasing “The Love Songs” on Jan. 23. On the same date, Tracy Lawrence will be releasing “For the Love.” On Feb. 20, Carolyn Dawn Johnson will be returning to the country music spotlight as “Love & Negotiation” comes out, her first album on Equity Records. And I just got a copy of Blake Shelton’s new CD, “Pure BS,” which will be in stores on March 27. Blake definitely shows off a more tender side, but his fans are going to love it.

Noted Nashville songwriter Dennis Linde has died of a rare lung disease at the age of 63. Linde wrote Elvis Presley’s last big hit, “Burning Love,” and the Dixie Chicks’ “Goodbye Earl.”

“World of Britney” Site Will Shut Down in Order to Pursue Other Celebrity Trainwrecks

In a statement oozing of paradoxes, World of Britney’s webmaster, Ruben Garay announced Wednesday that he would be pulling the plug on the most popular un-official web site dedicated to the pop princess.

As Britney keeps losing her identity and credibility within fans and industry people, so is WoB. We’re moving on to greater, bigger things. I would therefore like to announce the permanent shut down of World of Britney.com beginning January 31st, 2007. As WoB closes, Carolina and I will be launching a brand new state of the art Celebrity Blog that will try to compete with Perez Hilton, Pink is the New Blog, Popsugar and all of those.

So when your girl decides to leave her panties at home, divorce her baby daddy, and start partying with Paris, you judge her for allegedly losing her credibility (you need credibility first before you can lose it) and then in the same breath you announce that you want to start rubbing shoulders with Perez fucking Hilton?

Monkey see, monkey do, we guess.

Garay continues, “I think that WoB has had its run…….its feet are not holding firm anymore, not because of my ability to run it, but because I believe Britney is unfortunately done (for me at least).”

LAist doesn’t gamble — for if we did we woulda been at the Santa Anita opener on Tuesday — but if we did we would not be betting on an aspiring gossip blogger who thinks that Britney Spears is “done”. Not only has she regained her spot as the most talked-about “celebrity”, but now that she’s single and not pregnant for the first time in years, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. Indeed, that trifecta of vag flashes were just the tip of the gossip iceberg.

Brit’s long-time rival Christina Aguilera currently has a great record out which is nominated for several Grammys. But for the first time ever in Xtina’s career no one is talking about her. All eyes are on Britney Spears and what does her biggest site decide to do — jump on the Perez Hilton bandwagon of rehashed Linds, Paris, Nicole nonsense.

Unless you can be crueler than Perez, sweeter than Trent, or smarter than Defamer, LAist believes you should dance with you brung you. And Britney has just begun to dance.
